Hey!

For any Norwegian tour veterans, has anybody got a gauge of how much cash currency to take for the week? I'm thinking covering lunch and a beer or two in the evening while using cards for fuel.

Thanks.

Prices for most things are broadly similar to here. EXCEPT ALCOHOL which can be double & more than you would experience here. I book drinks to the room and settle on a card in the morning. This can be a frightening experience......

Cash for the ferries which tend to be 100NoK (£10 'ish) for car with 2 passengers Pete will correct me but I recall 6 crossing? I think you can use cards for most of those as well if you wish.

So that just leaves lunches and for most places you can use cards aswell !

Hope this helps

So I can book drinks to your room? Thanks, Dave, you're a legend! :)

That's good to know - I didn't want to be stuck with more unusual currency than necessary and a few guides said that card machines were maybe not as ubiquitous as they are elsewhere.

T-minus 19 days...

Yep, book anything you want to my room. I already know my room number its 101

Get as much NoK as you want, you WILL be back to use it in the future.

And now I won't be able to sleep for 19 days! That looks ah-mazing.

At least I have the rescheduled Millbrook day to tide me over between now & then.

Reindeer burgers ahoy.

Guys, Lets not forget the Viking Tour has the same rules as Fight Club. The first rule is...

I am sure that the delights of Norway will enchant you, but I think its something we should keep to ourselves. We certainly dont want the roads cluttered with Berlingo's

Moose ahoy......... Doris Day minus 18
