Simon. Was chatting to a few people about this yesterday. There is a TGI Fridays just west of Portsmouth which is a 15 minute drive from the boat. There is also a shell petrol station nearby. Will be aiming for lunch there again this year. Think I put details on the 2017 thread.

This is what we did in 2017. The timings work for getting to the port by 3pm. Luca, Andy White and myself will be doing the same this year. Mentioned it to Adam and I think Captain Andy yesterday. All welcome:


Ref getting to Portsmouth on the friday. A few of us from the SW are meeting up at Membury services eastbound main car park. Ready to leave there for 11:30am. We're then going to a shell petrol station (P014 4BB). Then onto TGI fridays for lunch (SO31 6AF). Then onto the Brittany Ferries terminal.

Membury Services to the Shell petrol stop is 58.5 miles (about an hour)
Shell petrol station to TGI Fridays is 1.2 miles (about 3 minutes)
TGI Fridays to Ferry port is 10.8 miles (about 15 minutes).

Anyone looking at travelling to the coast earlier in the day is welcome to join us. cheers. DAZ

Main car park eastbound. Look out for a red GT3. Burgundy Alfa QF and a white BMW Z4. We'll be setting off from there at 11:30am.

For the group meeting at Membury, will you be heading to Chievely and then down the A34? Going to Membury doesn't make sense for me but I could try and pick up the convoy after you leave the m4.

Looks like 12 miles from Membury. We can call into Chievely at about 11:40. Is there an obvious place to meet there?

Thanks for replying Dazren. I'll try and meet you at tgi fridays instead of disrupting your journey. What time do you expect to leave tgi's?

Will be leaving TGI Fridays about 2:40. About 15 mins drive to the ferry port check in.
