– Have breakfast with wild elephants, giraffes, and ostriches (amongst others!)

– See the sunrise and sunset in the African bush
– Visit a beach full of penguins
– Visit the southern most tip of Africa (Cape Agulhas)

Come and join us for a week to remember around the Cape of Good Hope.
Some on road, some gentle off road, plenty of stops for photos and vistas, typically 3 to 4 hours a day in the car.

Summary:
Saturday – Arrive at our pre-arranged meeting point at Cape Town International Airport (CPT) to pick up your rental car (Toyota RAV4 or similar). Once you have your car and luggage you’ll be on your way to the first hotel passing Table Mountain, Camps Bay, and Chapmans Peak Drive along the way.

Sunday – An optional day to explore the Cape of Good Hope, we have planned a route which takes in Boulders Beach (penguins) as well as Cape Point itself.

Monday – We leave Cape Town behind as we head out along the coast and then up to the Stellenbosch (wine country) before stopping at Franschhoek Motor Museum for a look around. We’ll then have lunch in Franschhoek before driving over the famous Franschhoek Pass on the way back to the coast and the beauty of Hermanus (a well known whale watching spot).

Tuesday – We’ll continue along the coast today, all the way down to Cape Agulhas, the southernmost point in Africa. From here we’ll head inland to historic Barrydale for our overnight stop.

Wednesday – A very short drive today, with the first stop being the hot springs at Montagu. Bring your bathing suit! After lunch we’ll continue north and across the mountains before reaching our private game reserve, where we’re staying for the next two nights. There’s time this evening for a safari drive, if you’d care to join us…

Thursday – An optional day. We’re staying here, so it’s up to you if you want to swim or have a spa treatment, eat breakfast with the elephants and giraffes or go quad biking in the wilderness, or just have a lazy day by the pool.

Friday – From the game reserve to Citrusdal, over the mountains again and seeing more of this spectacular country, then onwards to Langebaan on the Atlantic Coast for one final night in South Africa.

Saturday – an easy drive along the coast to get back to Cape Town before returning our rental cars and heading home.
