Ireland ’24

“The Emerald Isle” – truly a green and pleasant land.

What better way to explore the beauty of Ireland than by road, in your own car, and staying in luxurious accommodation (4*) throughout.

Our route takes in sections used for the Circuit Of Ireland Rally and also parts of the increasingly well known Wild Atlantic Way.

Wednesday – Arrive around midday for check-in at the ferry terminal in Fishguard (in South Wales) for our afternoon sailing to Rosslare in Ireland. After a few hours on the boat, we’ll head out of Rosslare and up to Waterford for our first night.

Thursday – After breakfast we have our first drivers’ briefing before heading out across the Irish countryside. Waterford to Killarney via the Ring of Kerry, and staying at “Ireland’s best 4 star hotel” (according to Fáilte Ireland).

Friday – Killarney to Galway. Today we follow the west coast, passing Dingle and Castlegregory on our way to the magnificent Cliffs of Moher. Our accommodation for the night is the stunning Abbeyglen Castle in Connemara.

Saturday – Galway to Sligo, travelling via the coastal roads and up through the Delphi valley on to the way to the Ballycroy National Park and our hotel in Sligo.

Sunday – Sligo to Portballintrae, with Donegal and Mount Errigal being highlights on the way to Northern Ireland and, most importantly, the Giant’s Causeway (with time to explore on foot!).

Monday – Portballintrae to Naas, near Dublin. We’ll arrive at our hotel in time for some rest and relaxation time. Whether you choose to luxuriate in the spa and pool, or whether you fancy heading out to Dublin to explore is up to you.

Tuesday – we have a half day track day booked for everyone at Mondello Park, near Dublin. We will be the only participants, it is a closed event for us, so no worries about stranger danger. Again, up to you if you want to spend the afternoon in the pool or in Dublin.

Wednesday – an afternoon ferry sees us arriving back in Holyhead (north Wales) early evening before we go our separate ways.

What’s included?
– Hotel accommodation for 7 nights, with dinner and breakfast included (dinner not included on second night in Naas)
